As an important equipment for metal surface treatment, shot blasting machines are inevitably prone to various malfunctions during long-term use. Understanding common faults and their solutions is crucial for ensuring production efficiency and equipment stability. Here is an overview of some common faults and their solutions for shot blasting machines:
Insufficient shot blasting volume: This may be caused by a decrease in the speed of the shot blasting machine, insufficient supply of shot material, or excessive particle size of the shot material. The solution includes checking and adjusting the speed of the shot blasting machine motor to ensure that the shot material supply system is unobstructed, and replacing the appropriate particle size of the shot material in a timely manner.
Poor cleaning effect: If there are still residues on the surface of the workpiece after shot blasting, it may be due to improper shot blasting angle, speed, or time settings. The shot blasting parameters should be adjusted to the optimal state, and the wear of the shot blasting device should be checked. If necessary, worn parts should be replaced.
Excessive equipment vibration: Excessive vibration may be caused by loose anchor bolts, damaged bearings, or imbalanced transmission components. Regularly inspect and tighten the foundation bolts, replace damaged bearings, and ensure the balance and stability of the transmission system.
Electrical faults, such as motor overheating, control system failure, etc., may be caused by circuit short circuits, overloads, or poor contacts. Circuit connections should be checked to eliminate short circuits and overload factors, and electrical components with poor contact should be cleaned or replaced.
Seal damage: The internal seals of the shot blasting machine are prone to wear and tear, causing leakage or dust to enter. Regular inspection and replacement of worn seals should be carried out to maintain cleanliness inside the equipment.
Excessive noise: Noise issues may be caused by damaged bearings, poor gear engagement, or loose fasteners. It is necessary to investigate and repair each device one by one to ensure that the noise during operation is within an acceptable range.
When solving shot blasting machine failures, attention should be paid to the combination of prevention and maintenance, regular equipment inspections and maintenance should be carried out, potential problems should be discovered and dealt with in a timely manner, in order to extend the service life of the equipment and improve production efficiency.
